$11 Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel

Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty Steals might be the only thing keeping me going as I wish of spring and sun and I just can’t help being excited about all of these amazing deals.  This is the last week of deals so if you haven’t check it out yet, be sure to head over to Ulta.com to see what they have planned for the rest of the week.

Today’s featured deal is Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Clear Brow Gel for $11 (reg $22).  This highly reviewed brand is known for its brow products and this clear brow gel is the one I currently use, along with the Dipbrow Pomade and Brow Wiz.  This company makes high quality, must have products so be sure not to miss out on this great deal to try one of them for 50% off.

This clear brow gel will help comb unruly eyebrow hairs into place and make sure they stay there.  I also find that it gives a bit of definition and depth to my brows so they don’t look unnatural.  I guarantee that if you start to use Anastasia Beverly Hills products on your brows, you will never want to go back to anything else.

This deal is available in store at your local Ulta or online at Ulta.com today only so hurry on over!

FOTD: Stila In The Know Palette

Last Monday I wrote about the amazing deal Ulta was having on the Stila In The Know palette for only $20.  Well my amazing boyfriend must read my blog or listen to my incessant hinting, because he woke up and went to Ulta right when they opened that day to get one for me.

EOTD Stila In The Know

This is my first all matte palette so I was excited to play with the colors and work on my blending skills.  I was immediately drawn to the beautiful orange shade named Fire and decided to use that in my first FOTD with the palette.  I also used Wind, Earth, Clay, and Driftwood.

I think I could have tried to blend a bit better but I love how all of the colors complement each other.  The shades included seamlessly transition from one to another and all have a great earthy feel.  I paired it with a simple lip because the eye color is so dramatic, and used Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown for the brows.  Check out the full face below!

As always, comments and constructive criticism are welcome.  Let me know which colors are your favorite from this palette!  Did anyone else pick this up in the Ulta deal of the day?

Ulta Deals: March 16-April 5

Ulta has some really great deals happening over the next three weeks on tons of high end brands and products.  Check out their website for more details, but I’ve highlighted some of the ones I’m most excited about below.

First up, available Monday 3/17 is the Stila In The Know Palette for $20 (reg $39).  This beautiful palette includes 10 matte shades in a great range of neutral tones that can be used wet or dry.  It also comes with a Smudge Stick eyeliner in Halfmoon.  This is one of the only completely matte palettes of its kind and is a great deal at almost 50% off.  I am especially excited about this deal because I believe I may be getting this as a birthday gift next month if my incessant hinting has had any affect on my boyfriend.

Next, available Monday 3/24, is the CK One Color Pure Shine Lipstick for $9 (reg $16).  Calvin Klein is a brand I have always been a fan of and I have heard good things about their CK One line.  I have recently been trying to bulk up my lipstick collection so I may test them out by trying one of these Shine Lipsticks.  It comes in 12 different shades and is formulated to moisturize your lips and shine make them shine.

Finally, available Saturday 4/5, is Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer for $18 (reg $36).  This widely praised primer reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines and gives your skin silky smooth surface for your foundation to sit on.  I am currently at the very end of my mini version of this product so fingers crossed that it lasts until April 5th.

These are just a few of my favorite deals being offered at Ulta this month.  Check out their website to see what the deal of the day is for the next 21 days.  They have discounts up to 50% on brands such as Urban Decay, bareMinerals, Philosophy, Stila, Smashbox, and many others.

Must Have Now: Benefit One Prime Day

I have been super interested in trying some of Benefit’s products lately after hearing such great things from other bloggers and being enticed by the big shiny display in my local Ulta.  It is significantly better lit than the entire rest of the store.  Because I am currently trying to perfect my foundation and concealer routine, I have specifically been looking at Benefit’s Boi-ing Concealer and The POREfessional, along with many of their other priming, highlighting, and concealing products.  During my “research” I stumbled upon this amazing deal that I absolutely must have now.

The Benefit Cosmetic’s One Prime Day includes three deluxe minis of their well known priming and setting products.  The POREfessional, which I mentioned earlier, is a lightweight primer that makes pores and fine lines disappear, while That Gal is a pink primer that brightens and smooths.  They can be worn alone or together to enhance your skin and help with a smooth foundation application.  Stay Don’t Stray is a primer for both your eyelid and under eye area to help shadows and concealers stay put.  The full size versions of these products run for $31, $29, and $26, respectively, so they are a bit on the pricier side, and many people may be apprehensive about buying these products individually.  The One Prime Day set provides the perfect opportunity to try each of these products for the low price of $17.

Benefit Cosmetic’s One Prime Day is available online at Ulta.com.

henryface Favorites: Urban Decay Naked Basics 24/7 Eye Pencil

I recently received an amazing clearance haul from Urban Decay, including my now favorite everyday eyeliner.  Below is a picture of everything I got, including the Black Market set, Heavy Metal glitter liner, a lip liner, and the Naked Basics 24/7 Double Ended Eyeliner.  I really only bought the last one so I could get free shipping, but I am so glad I did.

The Naked Basics 24/7 Double Ended Eye Liner has quickly become my favorite everyday eyeliner because of the way the colors compliment each other and my eyes.  This pencil includes Crave, the deepest, the darkest brown-black matte, on one end, and Venus, a soft off-white shimmer, on the other.  Crave is very dark and shows up basically black on my eyes, and Venus is slightly lighter than a nude tone.  Both live up to the high quality products that we are used to by Urban Decay, and glide on beautifully.

I love to use this pencil when I’m not wearing a whole lot of other makeup, and just want to define my eyes and make them pop.  I use crave along my top lash line in whatever shape I’m feeling that day, usually just a simple wing, and Venus along the bottom lash line.  I find that using a light shimmer along my bottom lash lines makes my eyes look wider and more awake.  The colors together draw your attention to my eyes, and away from whatever imperfections I’m trying to distract from.

This picture was taken after working for six hours so it also gives you a great example of the staying power of Urban Decay products.  The eyeshadow is Sin and Mushroom, also by Urban Decay.

ABM_1394323667Even with a bold red lip, you can see how the dark winged lined on top and bright shimmery liner on the bottom really makes the eyes stand out.  The above picture was a day I only had time to throw on my eyebrows, some eyeliner, and some lipstick, but I still feel put together.

The Naked Basics 24/7 Double Ended Eye Pencil is only $16 on the Urban Decay website which is a great deal for two different shades of eyeliner.  Their normal eyeliners run for $20 for a single color.  This specific pencil was designed to compliment the Naked Basics palette, but they also have ones for Naked, Naked 2, and Naked 3 if you’re looking for something to go with your favorite one.  I chose the Naked Basics because it came with both a light and dark color, but the other three options have some great black, browns and neutral purples.

$12 LORAC Palette on HauteLook

Speaking of Lorac Palettes…

This amazing deal is available on HauteLook through next Monday 3/18.  Each palette is only $12 for five beautiful shades, in either ‘Get Hot’ (warm tones) or ‘Stay Cool’ (cool tones).  They also include a mixture of both matte and shimmer shadows.

These mini palettes would be a great way to test out Lorac eyeshadows if you’re interested in the Pro Palette I reviewed yesterday.  The colors look they would also make a great compliment to the shadows in the Pro Palette if you already have it.  I’m thinking of getting both of them to have for travel or just keeping one in my purse for those nights I end up going straight out after work.
